ON WORK RELATED TO THE DOCTRINE IN THE CARNIVAL PERIOD
The Master made it very clear and ‘hit’ this point a lot that during the carnival period, any activity linked to the ritual of this Doctrine that we claim to follow well is prohibited, almost in its entirety. Among all the topics linked in the Doctrine, only the practice of prayer is allowed for brothers to practice.
1st REPORT
During a carnival period, when leaving his house riding a horse, Master Irineu, passing in front of the place where Mrs. Veriana lived, heard her whistling a hymn. The Master turned his horse around and said to Dona Veriana: ‘What am I listening to? Are you really whistling a hymn? Did you forget what I said about this carnival period, where all activity is suspended?’
Then Dona Veriana said to him: ‘Not even whistle, Master?’ He replied: ‘Not even whistling, Dona Veriana, not even whistling.’
2nd REPORT
Dona Adália told us that on a certain day, a man known as André, by the way, a man with a degree in theology and a lot of Christian knowledge, decided to take Daime on the second day of carnival, stating that Daime is love and the Doctrine is to practice forgiveness, then he would be forgiven for taking Daime during this period. The question remains: What happened to this gentleman then? Mr. André simply went into a total panic, starting to cause trouble for his family and everyone who was close to him that day. He was taken tied up to the presence of Master Irineu, who immediately ordered a table service to be performed (recitation of a Catholic exorcism prayer where Daime is not taken – our parentheses) for him. Dona Adália says that even with the table service done, Mr. André remained tied up. When Dona Adália got close to him, Mr. André said: ‘Dona Adália, look at my situation, see how I’m all tied up… can you please let me go?’ That was when Dona Adália, with faith in the Master’s work, ordered the knots that were tying him to be untied. Mr. André got up, still very depressed, apologized to everyone, especially the Master, and from then on he was always a defender of this determination left by the Master.
For these reasons and others that are not hidden and that we know from time to time, we advise everyone to respect the determinations left by the Master. All these reports are my responsibility and based on the reports of Dona Adália Gomes, daughter of Mr. Antônio Gomes, and Dona Veriana.
(Our observation: The carnival period runs from midnight from Thursday to Friday until midnight from Tuesday to Ash Wednesday.)
Then I see nowadays some Daimista Centers doing work, festivals and retreats during Carnival.

SOBRE TRABALHOS RELACIONADOS COM A DOUTRINA NO PERÍODO DE CARNAVAL
O Mestre deixou bem claro e ‘bateu’ muito nesta tecla de que no período carnavalesco é proibido, quase que na totalidade, qualquer atividade vinculada ao ritual desta Doutrina que afirmamos bem seguir. Dentre todos os tópicos ligados na Doutrina, apenas a prática da reza é permitida aos irmãos praticar.
1º RELATO
Em um período de carnaval, ao sair de sua casa montado em um cavalo, o Mestre Irineu ao passar em frente ao local onde a Sra. Veriana residia, ouviu-a assobiando um hino. O Mestre deu meia volta em seu cavalo e disse assim para a Dona Veriana: ‘O que é mesmo que eu estou ouvindo? A senhora está mesmo é assobiando um hino é? A senhora se esqueceu do que falei sobre este período de carnaval, que fica suspensa toda a atividade?’
Aí Dona Veriana lhe disse assim: ‘Nem assobiar Mestre?’ Ele respondeu: ‘Nem assobiar, Dona Veriana, nem assobiar.’
2º RELATO
Dona Adália nos falou que em um determinado dia, um senhor conhecido como André, por sinal, um senhor formado em teologia e de muito conhecimento cristão, decidiu tomar Daime no segundo dia de carnaval, afirmando ele que o Daime é amor e a Doutrina é para a prática do perdão, então que ele seria perdoado em tomar Daime neste período. Aí fica a pergunta: O que houve então com este senhor? Simplesmente o Sr. André entrou em surto total, passando a dar trabalho para a família dele e para todos que estavam próximos a ele neste dia. Foi levado amarrado para a presença do Mestre Irineu, que ordenou de imediato que fosse feito um serviço de mesa (recitação de uma oração católica de exorcismo onde não se toma Daime – parêntesis nossos) para ele. Dona Adália conta que mesmo com o serviço de mesa realizado, o Sr. André continuou amarrado. Quando Dona Adália chegou perto dele, o Sr. André falou assim: ‘Dona Adália, veja a minha situação, veja como estou todo amarrado… a senhora pode me soltar por favor?’ Foi quando Dona Adália, com fé no trabalho do Mestre, ordenou que desatassem os nós que estavam amarrando-o. O Sr. André levantou-se ainda muito deprimido, pediu desculpas a todos, em especial ao Mestre, e daí em diante sempre foi um defensor desta determinação deixada pelo Mestre.
Por esses motivos e outros que não ficam ocultos e que vez e outra sabemos, é que aconselhamos a todos respeitarem as determinações pelo Mestre deixadas.

Aí fico vendo hoje em dia alguns Centros daimistas fazendo trabalhos, feitios e retiros no carnaval.
